Ongoing Projects
Explore our active research and development initiatives. These ongoing projects represent our current efforts to drive innovation in Internet infrastructure, IoT, and digital inclusion across the region.
Smart IoT-Based Forest Fire Notification System (LoRaIoT#2)
Supported by the NBTC, this project develops an advanced Internet of Things (IoT) platform for real-time air quality monitoring and forest fire event notification. By integrating low-cost sensors with intelligent machine learning techniques, we are building a highly effective early-warning system. The network is being deployed across Thailand’s northern provinces, including Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phrae, Nan, and Tak.
Sensing the Impacts of Climate Change on Frontline Workers in Thailand
Backed by the University of Washington’s Scaling for Greater Impact program, this vital initiative investigates how climate change affects vulnerable populations. The project actively assesses air pollution exposure and its associated health impacts on frontline workers across Thailand to help inform better protective health measures.
End-to-End Forest Fire Detection and Monitoring System
In collaboration with Silpakorn University, the AI Center, and the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), intERLab is developing a comprehensive forest fire monitoring system. This project integrates wireless sensor networks with AI-enhanced camera technologies to provide real-time, automated monitoring and detection in Phrae province.
Adisorn Air Info Apps Project
Partnering with the AI Center, Sittiporn Company Limited, and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), this project focuses on urban environmental health. intERLab leads the operation and maintenance of a network of low-cost air quality sensors specifically designed to monitor and report pollution emissions from construction sites throughout Bangkok.
Device-to-Device Content Delivery Network
With support from the THNIC Foundation, this initiative tackles the digital divide by developing a localized content delivery system utilizing WiFi Direct technology. The project aims to guarantee reliable access to digital content and essential services for communities in remote or challenged areas that lack traditional network infrastructure.
LoRa-Based Communication and Tracking System for Forest Fire Management
Working alongside the Department of Science at Silpakorn University and the NRCT, this initiative leverages LoRa (Long Range) technology for environmental protection. The project focuses on developing a robust wireless communication and tracking system to improve the safety, coordination, and overall management of forest firefighting efforts.
